That looks like one nice dog. I would love to know more about him, but — unsurprisingly — can’t find any mention of him anywhere. He seems to have been regarded with affection in any case.

Handsome boy. My father still talks fondly of a dog his squadron had named Boots. Boots even had his own ID to wear as he rode the bus around the base. And then when they shipped out Boots went aboard ship.
That’s great… I bet he was very proud of that ID!
