About
A celebration of the world as seen through the lenses of long-lost cameras. The makers and subjects in these photographs will (in most cases, in any event) forever remain anonymous now that the images have been separated from their original contexts – “lost,” if you will, only to be “found” again (hence the term “found photos”). What we are left with are some marvelous, spontaneous, human moments, captured by people who for the most part sought merely to remember them. The rest is up to you.
And please see my other blogs: album covers (and assorted musings) at longfade, more vintage photography at kodakery, and the latest addition, vintage baseball images.

Thought I’d let you know that I have now added your site to what I call “Other Sites, Other Worlds” on my vernacular photography site. I do this so I can remember the sites I want to revisit, as well as providing links to visitors to my site. You can see it here:

and then there was kodachrome…!
Pleased to meet you.
Hi, Mike (?) I just posted your site on my blog about my art. My subjects vary, but I have a lot of art based on found photography. I use collage and acrylic paint. Here’s my blog and my website. Thanks so much, your blog is beautiful and thoughtful.

Mike I’m confused now ? Are you saying I can’t buy the original on the beach picture ? I’m still interested at $10. It sounds like you now want to keep it ? Please let me know. Thanks Kevin—*
I’m terribly sorry. I don’t log in much, and have not for some time…just saw this comment/question. At this point I have no idea, and it’s so log ago you likely aren’t either. But I wanted to at least get back to you. Again, my apologies.
